Many practices now benefit from digital impression scanners and to accommodate this we have access to a range of digital communication systems including, but not limited to, DDX digital import of impressions, CEREC Connect and 3 Shape Communicate. In fact, any scanner used in the dental market today, we can accommodate. Digital impressions are faster, safer and a more efficient way to exchange and manage restorative work. Scans and designs can be reviewed between lab and clinician before production, minimising remakes and streamlining processes.

  • Is my patient data safe when using digital transfer?

    The systems we use all benefit from encryption to help secure patient data. You don’t have to rely on vulnerable email and you can always recover case and patient information quickly.

  • Is the Intra Oral Scanner software complicated to use?

    The software of all the systems we use is very straightforward and clinicians and practice staff can navigate them with ease.

  • If I’m using a different system can I send a file?

    If you are using a system we haven’t listed, please give us a call and we can help you send us a file.

  • If I use digital file transfer will I get my work quicker?

    For small cases, yes. We also do ‘same day’ and ‘next day’ crowns depending on when we receive your file. A lot depends on the size of the case and, once we have the files, we can advise on delivery.

    DDX DIGITAL IMPRESSION IMPORTS

    Through this cloud-based software, you can fill out prescriptions digitally and either print to send with traditional impressions or send digitally with a digital impression file. You can also share patient data and photos and we can share digital renderings of restorations for you or your patient to review and approve. Cases can be tracked for timely delivery and patient scheduling.

    CEREC CONNECT

    Digital impression-taking in combination with Sirona Connect is an innovative process that delivers optimum precision. The image data captured with the aid of one of our four intraoral scanners (CEREC AC with Omnican, CEREC AC with Bluecam, APOLLO DI or Omnicam Connect) is converted into a virtual 3D model in real time and then transmitted via the internet to the lab.

    An easy, online connection between you and Stephen Green Dental Studio. CS Connect is Carestream Dental’s online portal for sending impressions and crown designs to the lab.
